    That's pretty much how it works. "Join the race" means you give up your mastery for a chance to redo it and gain a badge (or multiple badges) this time, depending on the time it takes you to clear it

    It's also worth mentioning that the average score required to win depends on your region. In the Asia-Australia region, for example, most parties don't even get full and sometimes 60K-70K is enough...
