i was coming on today to complain about this exact same thing , it seems there is an app out there  so you can win all the games , not sure why you would do this as it takes all the fun out of the game , but for those trying to get a badge its very demoralising , surely something can can be done about this ? i played against one woman this week she had 194k how can you beat that , when i checked she had badges for nearly every catagory , please sort this out so we can enjoy the game again

Is There a way to find the ones cheating with these apps? All it does is Take the real players who are playing their hearts out but will never win cause they're Cheating! I hate that! Please see if you can develop a way to catch these cheaters! I wanna win on my knowledge of the Music it's a great personal Victory! Cheaters go Home! It's not right I spend a Fortune on tickets I just bought 500 tickets that will last me 4-6 Months!

There actually is a separate party for people who already won the badge, it's called the "Expert party". Maybe if the rewards in the expert party would be higher, then the badge owners would be more encouraged to participate in these and leave the regular parties to the "badge-virgins", but I wouldn't go as far as restricting entry to the regular parties (that would most probably drain them from players).

Another option I can suggest to achieve what you're looking for is if the leagues were dynamic. Judging by the players in the screenshot, I assume you're in the diamond league (America division), which means you're "doomed" to face the best players. If SP would introduce some mechanism that demotes players after some time of failing to win anything, you would go back to silver league and face more convenient opponents. From what I remember, the parties in bronze/silver close with an average of 50K points, while in gold/diamond it's ~150K points.

Until that happens, my best advice for you is to wait for a good opportunity. Learn to identify the strong players and avoid going head-to-head with them. Go for it if you see there are a couple of hours before closing and you believe you have what it takes to overthrow the current leader.

@Helen & Jill - I really doubt these players are cheating (there's a separate thread discussing this around here somewhere, but so far no one has been able to prove existence of cheaters in party-mode, only 1v1 mode). Think about it - if it was possible to cheat, why would the cheaters settle for winning only one or two parties per day? Why not win them all?

Usually a very high score just indicates people having too much free time. 200K can be achieved in ~3 hours, so if you're working at a night-shift doing nothing, and you have nothing better to do with your time, you can get there.

I just posted in the feature request section & submitted a ticket about this very thing. I think it would be more fair overall if the Parties were divided up within the league based on your number of badges. Those who are badge virgins as Kermit called them in one group, one stars in another, two stars another, and so on. That way you are playing against people of the same skill.

Guys, how many active players do you think there are? In the Australian-Asian Division, for example, there are a lot of parties which won't even reach the 300 players threshold (so only one instance of that party starts). If you want to further divide it according to how many badges each player has, you will get parties with 10-20 players, where's the fun in that?

I'm in the Australian-Asian Division and it's always the same people in the top positions. I can easily hit Top 25 (and mostly Top 10) but it's really frustrating when you see people in a Dance Party in top position and they have 6 star badges.

Hey Kermit I'd like to discuss the party mode Leagues for a moment.  I really don't see how this system is supposed to work.  If two people go into a party and one is Diamond and other is lower league, isn't it just the starting games that you are matched with players from your same level.  You are forgetting that as you progress up the leader board you bottleneck at the top so therefore you have to be matched against people in other leagues to win the party.  How could you possibly win the party without having beaten 2nd, 3rd 4th etc places in the challenges.

I totally agree with you McObvious about the parties.  I seriously tried to win my first badge recently after playing 2yrs and tinkering at the parties.  I came 2nd after it cost me 350 tickets and 150 powerups plus a large part of my sanity..lol   Now those tickets and powerups took a long time to save up so this was pretty serious go I had at it.  But what happens is someone decides to challenge and you end up in a race to the end, except I ran out of powerups and they didn't.  So even though I was getting most answers correct, they were beating me because they got bonus score for the few answers they got correct.  So what it comes down to is winning a party has NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING, to do with your skill or knowledge, its a simple matter of how many POWERUPS and TICKETS you have.  ie Money maker for owners of songpop!

Gary, the leagues go like this:
Bronze and silver league players are matched with each other, they never even see other parties, and gold and diamond leagues have their own parties. So if you're lucky enough to win some badges before you get promoted to gold, it would be easier. Once you get to gold you're "doomed" to face the highest ranking players. And yes, I know this system sucks, I have stated in the past that it would be better to make the leagues dynamic so that after losing too much you will still have a chance against the more average opponents

In reply to Kermit11's first post (and last one I guess since they are about the same thing):

That is a good idea and something they should look into. I just know that something should be changed because these games are no longer fun to play anymore because of this issue. The only reason I play them anymore is to level up to get tickets basically.

Until that happens, my best advice for you is to wait for a good opportunity. Learn to identify the strong players and avoid going head-to-head with them. Go for it if you see there are a couple of hours before closing and you believe you have what it takes to overthrow the current leader.

As for waiting for a good opportunity - that is kind of hard to do when all the games that are left I need badges for I have the same person always at the top of them. Doesn't matter what time of day I play, it's almost always the same person at the top.

Bottom line is they do need to change something with the parties because it is just not working anymore. I didn't realize how many people were unhappy with how they were until I posted this.

YES. I have made posts about this on the SongPop FB page many times but creators have ignored it. It is supremely unfair that the same two or three people are dominating all the games (Rizna F in particular, who already has all the badges for the games she plays and just wants to clock up over 100k points overnight so no one else could beat her). A system needs to be devised to at least put a cap on the powerups per game, or a restriction once that person already has the badge. It's very off-putting and turns me off playing SongPop period.

I remember beating Rizna F in a Flash party once. Felt so good since I got Flash badge. But even then, she's one of the "better" players considering I hardly see her on the top, rather she's on the Top 10. On topic though, I agree with you. It doesn't really make me feel motivated to go on the Party modes when the person on the top already has that badge. At the very least, have the people who already have the badges be forced to pay 2 tickets to compete in the parties.

Quite annoyed since I've been trying for a Pop or Dance badge for the last month.

You should remember that they're running a business after all, and if someone pays them good money to play the same parties over and over again to win multiple badges, they have no motivation to restrict them from playing. This of course should have some kind of a limit, because stretching this rule too much will cause too many players to give up and the game will eventually collapse. I guess the current situation is how they chose to handle this trade-off.

I'm really grateful they've instituted the new Mastery lists. At least I can just play regular games to fill my stars & get the badge I need. I got my Artist & rock from the Bad Company list & my pop from the top 500 of the 80s. At least that's an alternative method.

It is clear they do not care about their customers having fun. 100’s of new people start playing this game for the first time everyday. And as we all know, it is super fun at first. They offer or award new players extra tickets, coins,& powerups making both the regular daily challenges and the tournaments fun & exciting. Everything appears reasonably achievable, (or they are actually (unknowingly) given a “freebie”) giving the impression this is how the game will continue. Then 2 months later, no free video tickets are available for a week at a time, u don’t receive a badge or coins you earned. You might not even receive tickets or coins u flat out paid for!! I have emailed them so many times, saying exactly what you have all said. This game is supposed to be FUN!!! They don’t care. Every last one of us is a dime a dozen.
