I may be wrong, but I believe you can only get the badge in party mode.

If you have a list that has a hollow trophy, you are NOT in the mastery race. A solid gold trophy means you are.

When playing, access all of your lists and click "NEW". It should be listed there.

Just to note: playing 2500 games includes Party Mode and Practice Mode. Practice Mode, especially, can be used to get there quickly.

Yeah, it has to be the party that has the DANCE badge. The 90's Dance Party won't count because it's a 90's badge.
