This feature exists. Only on the mobile app though.  Look under settings and game settings.

3. I was told I missed a day when I have NOT! I will be quitting this game that does not know what is going on!!

I had that happen before too. For some reason when playing on the PC, it doesn't fully register that I've played on that day and it counts against me. I've not had that problem on the mobile versio...
