Did you try downloading on an iphone or ipod touch yet? I had the same issue, and I did that.

Only play thru iPhone (via Apple store), Android (via Google Playstore) or Win10 (via Microsoft store) otherwise earlier windows you are stuck with SongPop app thru Facebook or Facebook GameRoom stand alone.  Both the Facebook apps run on Adobe Flash and will stop working before years end.

If you have a decent laptop/pc and have some skill with IT, you can install an Android emulator program if the CPU is capable of virtualisation technology.  I used one called "Andy" for a while.  Not a simple installation, can be troublesome or not work at all.  Also heavy load on the PC so don't bother if you are novice.  If attempting, tune up PC first before starting install.  After getting emulator to work you download Android version from Google store.

I'm aware adobe flash will stop by year end but it already has on FB a day or so ago hence why I'm here. So.....if I upgrade  (once again) to Windows 10 on desktop pc, will I be able to play Song Pop directly through FB? Many thanks for your response.

If FB SP stops, check for extra icon at start of address bar, click it to "activate" flash.  SP (Flash vers) still works thru FB, I use it daily.  However I use old vers of Chrome browser and therefore old vers Flash as Chrome auto updates but limited by browser vers.  There are risks in doing this.

Win10 vers is written in HTML5 code and does not work thru or need the browser or Facebook to run as its a standalone win10 App.  Earlier versions of windows don't support the HTML5 code so can't run this App.  They required a Flash environment to run Songpop written in Flash code.  That was achieved by first running Facebook or Gameroom by FB to create the Flash environ to run SP FB vers.

So in answer to your question the Win10 vers is played direct, not thru Facebook.

Now I get it. You're the first person to tell me SP is now stand alone. Upgraded to Win10 and have it now. Thanks so much!

No Amy. It appears to be just a stand alone app now. You can pin it on your taskbar or wherever it's convenient for you. Seems odd without FB but things change for some reason. However, the people I played with remain so it's no big deal really.

Sorry I wasn't more clear. I just click on the SP2 icon and it opens ready to go.

All your SongPop info is kept on the SongPop servers, not on your device or computer.  As long as you log into the same acct everything will be there waiting no matter how you do it.

Steven you will also find to play on Android phone, SongPop, Facebook and Messenger are 3 separate stand alone Apps now.  Not like playing thru Facebook on old PC that also had Messenger built into Facebook.

I have found this out thanks to you Gary. I had no idea what was going on. Also, what will replace, if anything, Adobe Flash Player, which will be gone by December?

I hope Amy got her SP back. All is good for now until they decide to change something else. This has been a big help.

Steven in terms of SongPop I guess technically nothing will replace Adobe Flash as all those versions will stop functioning, no new software will make them work again.  Closest thing is HTML5 versions of SongPop that will run on Win10 only.
