When I'm tied with another player why am I ranked lower EVERY time? Why do I get the less bonus points every time?

Hi, I am interested to know if you are playing the mobile version or PC Facebook version of Songpop. I play the later and have been playing since before the introduction of Songpop2. In all that time I have always received the lower ranking and not once the higher ranking. It's wrong that this happens and has always annoyed me.
