... what actually happens when someone deletes their account?

Do they disappear completely from your list? or you can still click on their profile and says something like – You can't no longer play. This user has deleted their account – ?

I'm just curious. It's not like I deleted mine 6 days ago and now I'm wondering if people will notice my absence.
