I don't want any stupid gifts.  Now I have a useless playlist sitting there that my OCD will force me to eventually master.

GIVE THE OPTION TO REFUSE GIFTS!

While you're at it, give the option to delete useless playlists.

  Hi,

  I totally get your frustration! Having the option to refuse gifts and delete unwanted playlists would make things so much easier. Hopefully, they’ll consider adding these features soon—it’s all about giving users more control. Fingers crossed!
