A step and repeat banner is essentially a big backdrop use in events in order to provide an attractive background for pictures. The text on the banner presents a pattern of logos or graphics creating an attractive background.

 

This term "step and repeat" refers to a scenario whereby the guests could "step" in front of the backdrop to have pictures taken while the graphics "repeat" in the background, thus making sure that the logo of the brand always appears.
