Branded Merchandise Expert In Shared Network Mode, the VM shares your Mac’s network, so a VPN on the Mac will affect the VM. To block it, either disable the VPN on your Mac or switch to Bridged Network Mode, where the VM gets its own IP address separate from the Mac.

To block a VPN while using Parallels on your Mac, follow these steps:

    1. Network Settings: Open Parallels and go to the configuration settings of your virtual machine (VM).

    2. Shared Network Mode: If you are in Shared Network Mode, the VM shares the same network connection as your Mac. This means that any VPN running on your Mac will also affect the VM. To block the VPN traffic, you can either:

      • Disable the VPN on your Mac.
      • Switch to Bridged Network Mode, where your VM will have its own IP address. This way, you can manage the VPN settings separately.
    3. Firewall Settings: When in Bridged Network Mode, you can block VPN traffic at the VM level. Adjust the firewall settings within the VM to restrict VPN usage.

    4. Network Configuration: Configure the network to limit or block specific types of traffic, including that from VPNs.

If you access Makaan Solutions and want to ensure a secure connection without a VPN, adjusting these settings in Parallels will help.

To block VPN in Parallels on a Mac:

    1. **Shared Network Mode:**
       - Disable the VPN on your Mac since the VM shares the Mac's connection.

    2. **Bridged Network Mode:**
       - Switch to Bridged Mode so the VM has a separate IP.
       - Then, block VPN at the VM level using firewall settings or restrict VPN traffic on the network/router for the VM’s IP.

You can switch to Bridged Mode in Parallels under **Settings > Hardware > Network > Bridged Network**.
