My highest score ever is 24,016, I NEVER cheated, however, I had under 1.0 secs not all o'os...NOT that good, I was about 6 months into playing. I have not beat that score, it's still there. But, it can be done without cheating, I just got the right songs and was on top of my game, that 1 time :-) plus I JUST changed from playin on iPhone to pc with mouse, much better. Now I can't hear it on the phone, headphones work too. If I have to cheat to win, I don't want to play. I rarely look to see if I even won or lost that round, I LOVE music, spent my childhood surrounded by it. Where do I go to deal with the party badges & stars, because I'm getting ripped off there. W.N.A.

I do as you do Gary, I love playing sp--and I definitely "vet" any challenges, just as you said--if they have like 15% compatibility or Country or Modern pop or rap is in the top places --its just not going to work out. I play this one guy from Tennessee and I really should drop him--he sends me 50's chart topping country and I sent him alt '80's rock--its back and forth--but I haven't dropped him because though I completely loathe country, I win enough of his challenges to win for the week--good guessing--I am shocked I win when I do, as it is a genre I can't stand, and whats with tv theme songs being a genre--who drives around in their car blaring the theme to "full house"? I have a high score of 23,189, but believe me that was earned and in New wave my best category--just hyped up more than usual that time, I generally get over 22,000 every week, but I have never gone over 23,000 except for the one time. I have only purchased around 30 playlists, because most of the quizzes I get aren't my favorites, so I play such a variety anyway. I am extremely competitive--hate to lose--I stay up every sunday night until the weekly game is over to ensure the next week I won't be starting off with some crazy quiz like "worst songs" or an artist I don't know like nickelback. People who have played me for awhile know my strengths-so I rarely see new wave or alt 80's rock or anything '80's, I just wish those who cheat and there are many, just wouldn't play. I mean what is the fun in that? Just play people who like the similar type of music you like--be open to a little diversity, you'd be surprised, and try not to send too many artist quizzes -I only do that when someone sends me one--seems unfair to give someone a quiz with music they don't know at all, but if you make me the mistake of sending an artist quiz-you will get the beatles or depeche mode or Morrissey/Smiths and not that I'm boasting but you'll probably lose. I just love music, lets keep the cheating out of it and enjoy!

Hi Wanda, I agree its possible to fluke a high score.  I've had games where every answer is on the same box which can boost your speed.  Other times trying to get that elusive speedster III badge I've resorted to just randomly clicking as quick as I can.  I've had speeds as low as 0.3s come up by doing that.  In the normal songpop mode I don't believe there are many people cheating and they would soon come unstuck in a challenge.  However, in party mode I think there's a lot of things not right and have voice that to Songpop many times.  I must ask though, you say you got 24,016 score, I thought that 24,000 was the highest possible and I've never seen higher than that.  Perhaps if "Kermits" out there he can chip in on this.  We have had numerous discussions on here about party mode perhaps you can take some time and do some reading, otherwise start a thread on it in here or make formal complaint particularly if you didn't get what you paid for.

I have it, look on my profile, I just switched from phone to pc, and it seemed so ez, I know now that it was not ez at all, lol, as there it still sits....and I get quite a few zeros cuz it's songs I'venever heard or a different person might be singing it? This is why I play for fun. I love music, have been surrounded by it my whole life, and there are still tons of songs I never heard. I feel if someone needs to cheat at songpop, they have no business playing that or any game. I've never been a sore loser, not about to start now over something I enjoy and love :-)

Hi, I'm just a player like you.

Your second point was discussed a while back by myself and a few others.  I have an opponent with exact same lists and progress, like identical.  We think its a bug in the game where it cant retrieve the players info so it copies yours.

First point, I think they have found a way to cheat as I've also seen perfect 24k scores with 0.0s answers.  I don't look for challengers, I let them send challenge to me.  Then I vet them before I accept.  If I don't like the music style, think their high score is out of my league or they don't have at 60% compatibility then they get rejected.  ie Look first, if you think they cheat don't play them.

lol, i can't even answer in 0,0s (0,1s fastest). But mostly they (the cheaters?) are good players and i like to play against good oponents.

as far as the party games...I have been ripped off of the stars on my badges, fb is aware of it, but I get same ol story, we're sorry, we're working on it, it's becoming a money racket then you don't even get what you earned? I'm about to give that part up. Have a great day :-)

Gary, I'm a little curious.  How exactly do you vet them.  You can't communicate with them till after you have played 3 games with them.  I have a person who has rung me up for 24,000 pts constantly.   I can't figure out how she does it.  I wrote her on her SongPop chat and asked her if she was a 'bot.  I hear that has been running rampant lately on SongPop.   There has been no answer,  I kind of have a feeling why, or course.  But how is she doing it?

Technically I think any answer less than 0.5 is considered a perfect guess, so a person getting 5 answers in less than 0.5 seconds should be able to get 24K. You have to be really fast, or to use the cheat we know about in normal play-mode (seeing the answer, crashing the app, resuming the game, and then choosing the answer you remember).

Joe - How to VET challenger?  As I said I don't usually look for challengers, only accept people who challenge me, once I have vetted them. So this is when a new personal challenge shows up in my list of games. Before you click "accept", click on their picture and it usually takes you to their profile.

    1.  In there you can see "all time high score" so over 23k I wont accept, as their either out of my league or cheating, mine is about 22,350.

    2.  You can also see their "weekly high score" which indicates how they are playing at the moment.  It resets at start of each week and may take a few games to average out.  If their "all time high score" is same they are in top form.

3  You can check their playlists by clicking on "playlists" in their profile.  How many they have shows their experience and indicates how long they've been playing.  I have about 70 after playing 2 years, but I don't often get new ones and prefer to finish what I have, approx 50 of the 70.  I have seen people with 500 who have been playing for years and maybe completed 150 of them.  Others with 150 lists that haven't completed any (usually not that good these players).  If you hover mouse over their list it will show the progress stars for it.

    4.  Opponents will tell you how many people they are currently playing.  Non VIP's are restricted to 30 however this can be exceed by accepting challenges sent to you.  Once at 30 you can't challenge someone else.  I'm non-VIP and play 30-40 regularly.  Anyway tells you how regular they are on SongPop, like 20-40 daily, 50 plus constant, under 20 casual.

    5.  Personal info is shown under their pic like name, city, country or comments.  If you think the name looks fake I'd reject them, I've seen people use a dash for their name or hashes.  The country can clue as to what time of day they will play or if you will have language problem.  I've had to right in my "profile/comments" that I only accept English language music.  I had people constantly sending foreign language challenges where I couldn't understand the lyrics which is a bit unfair.  So anyway see if they have made comments under their pic, could say anything, mine also says "No Rap" lol.

So anyway you may or may not develop your own criteria but that is how I do it.

Joe I forgot to put -

    6.  Compatability - basically its how similar yur taste in music is so I wont accept them if this is under about 50%.

Joe regarding the rest of your post, I usually wait a month or so before I attempt communicating with anyone in SongPop.  If and when I do I keep initial conversations strictly about the game or music.  People won't like it if you open conversation by asking them questions, particularly if you hint they are cheating or ask anything personal.  If you have hinted cheating and called her a bot I'm not surprised if you got no answer.  Some people are also too busy playing, simply not interested in chatting, or even oblivious to the chat system.  I find most young people have far quicker reflexes to answer at SongPop.  If they are very high scoring, they are probably young and if they are female, they are probably reluctant to answer if your male.  The older you are the slower your reflexes are so at my age 24k would have to be a fluke.  I have found a trend with "bots" is their address says New York or NY which I think I looked up SongPop offices and found a connection some time ago.  You need to realize Joe that there are a lot of different versions of SongPop depending what type of device you are playing it on, pc, mobile phone, tablet.  Some of these have advantages over others and later versions of the actual game.

To sum up though, if they are frustrating you by winning and they are winning with a 24k max score, you cannot possibly beat them.  So delete them and move on to an opponent who you feel comfortable competing against.

I do accept some people who like different genres.  I have one who sends musicals (honestly can't stand them but somehow know some) and another who sends classical which I know some of.  I find it allows me to expand my knowledge doing this.  But what I really love is when I take on someone who looks out of my league and win.  I have one at moment who's high score is 23k+ has 150+playlists and only 25% compat but when I scanned their playlists I found they had only finished about 15 of the 150.  So I have them about 1 to 5 in my favour.  My assessment of them is they are fast but not accurate.  Their figures with the playlists tells me this.  I can be very accurate and intuitive with music I haven't heard before when I'm in form.  It does get a little boring sometimes banging away at 60's-00's rock/blues/pop which are my fav's.

I scored 24000 once lads. Someone sent me a 'Goth Rock' playlist or something like that - no chance for me, so I  pressed the same button as quickly as possible for each answer and got them all right. I've come close a few other times as well, scoring 4/5 in 0.1 seconds, 0.2 seconds etc.
