There are a bunch of examples of songs that appear correctly in the original form on one playlist, yet on another it's a terrible sounding copy or not even the original. This is not by design say where it's a remix or intro version to the song. I'm sure I could find examples if needed. One i can think of off the top of my head is in one of the 80's playlists (maybe 80's flashback) has Jan Hammer's theme to Miami Vice which is the perfect original. Yet in 80's TV Themes (or 90's cant recall for sure) it doesn't even sound like the theme song it sounds so bad. It is also occurring with normal songs.
That themes part leads me to my 2nd question, which is how do they not have ALL original songs/compositions with the TV themes. In both 80's and 90's TV themes nearly HALF of the themes are terrible covers! Just listen to the greatest american hero theme if you need an example. Yeah, I never knew the Golden Girls song was sung by a man, either. Of all the licensing issues I can agree would make sense, I'm not sure how it could be too expensive to get original TV theme songs. I could see Artists could be an issue, but the fact is they have the hardest artist on SongPop to deal with as far as licensing goes (Prince). Don't believe me? Try looking up Prince videos on Youtube!
