"Places in Tunes" playlist
There are many, many well known songs about Places across all music genres and all decades. I suggest adding a new playlist "Places in Tunes": including songs about cities, towns, countries, or any place.
Examples/ideas:
Hot Child in the City (Nick Gilder), Budapest (George Ezra), Santa Monica (Everclear), Small Town (John Mellencamp), California Love (2Pac & Dr. Dre), One Night in Bangkok (Murray Head), America (Neil Dismond), Sweet Home Alabama (Lynyrd Skynyrd), Waterloo (Abba), Hot in the City (Billy Idol), Africa (Toto), I Have Never Been to Memphis (Rascal Flatts), Rio (Duran Duran), The Night Chicago Died (Paper Lace), Beverly Hills (Weezer), Panama (Van Halen)... I'm sure you can think of several more off the top of your head.

Thanks, Alister. Helps to make an even stronger case for how awesome and how wide-open and diverse such a playlist would be (in my biased opinion-ha). A few more-LOTS OF MUSICAL GROUPS NAMED AFTER PLACES:
Boston, Chicago, Asia, Berlin, Bay City Rollers, Miami Sound Machine, Alabama....

Not to mention Texas, Tijuana Brass, Japan, Birds of Tokyo, Timbuk3.
and Walk like an Egyptian, Orinoco Flow, Seven Wonders, Norwegian Wood, In a Big Country, Life in a Northern Town, Day trip to Bangor, Great Southern Land, French kissin in the USA, Sorrento Moon, Cambodia, Kids in America, Barbados, Harlem Shuffle, Jukebox in Siberia, Russians, Road to Nowhere, Bon Voyage, Seven Nation Army, First we take Manhattan, Allentown, Montego Bay, Kingston Town.
If they can't make a playlist out of all this then there is something wrong! I wonder if any of these requests are ever read/actioned!?
