The Tragically Hip
I would like to suggest a playlist “Best Of: The Tragically Hip”. They are considered the Canadian Beatles. I've seen many forums requesting for this band, and I've been keeping an eye on the store for two months, but there is no playlist. As Canada 150 is coming closer, I will be hoping for this to come. The Tragically Hip is my favourite band by far, I listen to at least one song by them daily. The vocalist, Gord Downie, has terminal brain cancer, but Gord pushed himself, and did one final touring. They kicked off the Man Machine Poem tour on July 22nd, 2016 in Victoria, BC, and wrapped it up on August 20th, 2016 in Kingston, ON. For their final concert, they televised it for the whole country. Even Canadian athletes participating in the Summer Olympics in Rio stayed up to watch it. Many were emotional after the concert, myself included. Gord Downie is still alive to this date, he made an appearance on stage singing Lost Together with Blue Rodeo, and at a Raptors basketball game where Drake met him. I'm sorry for the long story, but I absolutely love this band, as does many other Canadians. If you do choose to make this playlist, you would make many people happy, especially if you can get it out in time for Canada 150. Some song suggestions are 38 Years Old, New Orleans is Sinking, Locked In The Trunk Of A Car, Tired as F*ck, Courage (For Hugh MacLennan), Ahead by a Century, At The Hundredth Meridian, Poets, Fully Completely, Fifty-Mission Cap, Fiddler’s Green, and In a World Possessed By The Human Mind. There are many other amazing songs to choose from. Thank you for taking your time to read this. #InGordWeTrust |

I don't think the good people at Song Pop understand how much Canadian love they will get for doing this. It would dwarf any good will or thanks they received from any other country for doing any other band. It really will shock them.
Outside of Canada, nobody truly knows how much the Hip were loved.
