    Careful, the part time Zendesk Support Guy (Kermit??) visits here once a year and tells "dear little old ladies" to be nice.  Shoot.......I WAS nice. LOL!!

    Athough I update new version of songpop 2, daily rewards still doesn't change...I can't get any thank you badge or mastery badge😔😔

    Hi Heather,

    I think perhaps you have SongPop 1 installed on your PC and not SongPop 2 which has always had bonus streak on the PC.  You shouldn't give Kermit a hard time as he always does his best to help people on here, he's just a player like us.

    I got it via Facebook I believe a few years back........I updated my tablet to Songpop 2 and these two programs seem to be syncing as to tickets, etc.  But you could be right.  Where do I get the update to Songpop 2??

    Gary...I checked all Songpop 2 programs I could find via Facebook and Google and none for PC's seem to be as up to date as you suggest.  None of them had the new autumn cartoon first page and the one I downloaded did manage to get a few to try free which I never could do before, but haven't tried opening it first on here because I do NOT want to lose out on the Daily Bonus if I do.  So opened it on my tablet.  Thanks, anyway.  Looks like SP does not want to spend the money to update the PC program.  Pity...... Not everyone has a smartphone....I don't.  But have a small tablet just to get the extra quizzes (like the cancer ones) that I don't get on my PC's (two of them).

    Gary, I doublechecked and finally found the version number and it is definitely Songpop TWO, but version is long and starts with #2.04.05.523(b17......).  The one before had NO version number. 

    Definitely an older version but SP doesn't seem to care about PC folks.  So I have now thoroughly investigated this and stand by my comments.  (unfortunately)

    You’ve pretty much ruined SongPop by forcing us to get this new version. I’ve been playing for several years with “stranger friends” who have the same taste in music. Not paying to be a VIP each month...have noticed that some of the regulars have already dropped off. Maybe there’s a similar game that’s not a rip off or ads to x- out of after every play. Guess you have to make money. Sad my SongPop days are over...it was a nice break each day.

    I’m sorry but losing my streak and such in favor of VIP just isn’t working well for me. I feel like someone screwed the pouch with this latest change. It’s very frustrating.

    Hi Heather that version number you quoted is the same as what I use.  Yes I'm also on PC.  This is an old version and there is no update as its coded in Adobe Flash language that the general IT community and therefore SongPop no longer wish to support.  You can however move to Android or Apple platforms and use the latest version of SongPop produced for those languages on a mobile device

    Heather the Daily Bonus/Streak has been in SongPop2 on the PC for many years as I have a 2-1/2yr unbroken streak and I play on PC.  So I thought perhaps you were still using SongPop1 which may not have had the Daily Bonus/Streak.

    I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with anything else you said.

    Hi Gary.....I won't pretend to understand how streaks work, but since I had my 2 tablets, I had about 3 years of unbroken daily bonuses.  Unfortunately, there don't seem to be any kind of instructions when anyone starts out, so maybe I am missing out on something. I play on this laptop 50% of the time.

    I did start with Songpop 1 a few years back but tbh, rarely played with anyone.  Just had some bot to play against.  Now I have 2 good friends that I play with and only one has VIP, we don't.  I lost all my streaks(?) when I was told this month I either had to pay for VIP or continue as a free player and lose this streak.  Again......don't know what I may be missing, but I only play in two 50's parties and with my 2 friends, one of 4 years standing. 

    Hope that explains my lack of knowledge.....I really think we lose out because there is no clear set of instructions to go by and no support people on here which is supposed to be a forum or a support group, I thought.  I dealt with a support girl who was extremely helpful and I suppose I could ask her.  Considering the game is allegedly out of New York, one would think there could be clear instructions in English.......oh well, I will just continue with my usual pattern.  Thanks for trying to sort me out. 

    I do wonder though....one off-beat thing.  How do some of these party players quickly zoom up to 200,000 points in a couple of hours??  Hacks or bots??

    If you go to the top of this thread here by Greg, you will see his last photo shows calendar and at the bottom of calendar is status of the mastery bonus streak, showing full bonus for over 6 months of not missing a day.  When that player gets 5 songs correct in a normal game, they get significant extra progress toward mastering that playlist over having no bonus streak.

    Heather I know new players find a lack of instruction on how to play but that has been vastly improved over what was available years ago.  There are many articles from support at the start of this site now -

    which can be reached from anywhere within the site by clicking on "SongPop 2. We Love Music" just under the top left corner of every page.  Unfortunately most people have trouble navigating the site and don't realise help and explanations are already there for most things.  The search box is also very useful at the top right corner of pages and can lead you to most articles.  People who have technical or financial issues with SongPop should direct those problems to Support by lodging a Support ticket thru their mobile app or PC.  Failing that they can e-mail support at -

    Heather your "off-beat" question about scoring 200,000 in party and hacks & bots.
    Well it's possible a hack was used but highly unlikely.  If that happened the experienced players would most likely report them and the offender would get investigated by SongPop.

    Otherwise 200,000 score in party in several hours is no problem for a good player.  They can make that task easier by spending 3 powerups each game to increase the max score to 2500 per game with boost.  That's 150 max per song for 10 songs plus 1000 bonus assuming you win.  I can clock up 50,000 in half an hour if I'm in my best genre.  200,000 is a difficult task in one sit but quite possible.

    I am with almost everyone else that has said they will stop playing as soon as my streak is gone. I have played for over 4 years almost daily. When my 30 day trial is up, I am cancelling it. I lose my streak, I’m out. I have turned multiple people onto this game, but I won’t anymore if it’s not turned back. I can find something else to do with my time. This is rediculous. I’m sure you are making enough money off the adds you started forcing us to sit thru a couple of years ago.

    Yes Chad......I am going to drop it as well.  I enjoyed playing it but now that they are simply into a cash grab, I am losing interest.  I will just keep in touch with 2 good friends via Facebook.  It is just so NOT worth the aggravation!!!!!!!!

    Gary.....I read all the info and tried to take it in but frankly, I am not sure I even want to play this game any more........and not all that interested in streaks and so on.  Thanks anyway.  I shouldn't have to know all that stuff in order to play an enjoyable game.  I will take a look on my tablet to see what Google Play has instead of this.

    this new update really sucks, i really regret updating. i was already 4 months into my streak and now i'm gonna lose it. it will take me a long time to master playlists without the streak. some of us can't afford to pay for vip every month. also the 30-min vip is not a good idea, i prefer the 24 hour vip. everything about this new update is just horrible, don't fix what isn't broken.

    I had a streak that went for over a year or 3.......never missed a day.  I wasn't quite sure what I was supposed to be getting for it, but nothing ever changed.  Add to that, our VIP costs $2/month MORE in Canada.......typical!!  Hate the new 30 minute crapola and playing more of Candy Crush and various King games.

    Also I pay a lot more for Pogo which has a minimum of 200 games (most of which are not my thing), but have played on there for 13 years.  They too are changing things and making people pay for more, so will NOT be renewing my subscription next Spring........have to find something else on here.  Any suggestions for a laptop and a tablet??

    I agree with what others are saying on here. Been playing Songpop for years and years, and logging in every day for at least a year and a half to build up and then maintain my streaks. Many, many hours invested in those streaks, but the fun of playing and mastering the playlists and chatting with other players was worth it. If drumming up more $$$ was the issue, either 1) make VIP enticing enough for people to switch, or 2) grandfather in your existing loyal customers and let newbies play by the new setup. What you DON'T do is 1) attempt to force longtime loyal customers into paying for what you've provided for free (though not really, since we paid something in the time it took to load and watch countless ads), and 2) punishing them for not switching by wiping out the incentives that attracted us in the first place. Our time is worth something, our loyal patronage is worth something, our willingness to provide your advertisers with a captive audience is worth something. If Songpop folks have lost sight of these basic business principles, something tells me they'll be reminded of them very soon. In the meantime, I'm off to explore viable alternatives.

    I decided to pay for vip to make a try and not loose my streak but I loose it anyway! I want my streak (or my money) back!!! If you do nothing, you will have the worst review you ever had on the appstore!

    I totally REFUSE to submit to paying blackmail!!!!!  I will NOT pay for VIP at $6.99 Cdn/month......for what??  Claudine caved in and lost her streak anyway.......what a bunch of crooks you are!!!!! 

    Time to try some other music quizzes.

    Have loved this game for years but I HATE the new vibration every time you get a right answer. I don’t need that, it’s distracting and irritating. At least give us the option to turn that off

    I feel like non VIP members are losing out on a lot of the game earnings not everyone can afford to pay for VIP and now non VIP members lose their streaks if they don’t pay for VIP how fair is that!!!
